Managing Your Profile
Your Mellonial profile is your professional hub, showcasing your skills, experience, and what you're looking for in your next role. Keeping your profile up-to-date helps Mellonial recommend the best jobs for you and makes applying for positions quick and easy!
Accessing Your Profile
To begin managing your profile, you'll first need to navigate to your profile section.
- Look for your Profile Icon or Name in the top right corner of the Mellonial dashboard.
- Click on it to open a dropdown menu.
- Select My Profile (or similar, e.g., Profile Settings).

You will then be taken to your personal profile page, where you can view and edit your details.
Updating Your Personal Information
This section allows you to manage your basic contact information and personal details. Keeping this accurate ensures employers can reach you and that your applications are professional.
- On your profile page, locate the Personal Information section.
- Click the Edit button (often represented by a pencil icon) next to the section you wish to modify.
- You can typically update fields such as:
- Your Full Name
- Your Email Address
- Your Phone Number
- Your Location (City, State/Region)
- A brief Headline or Summary about yourself (e.g., "Experienced Project Manager seeking new challenges").
- After making changes, remember to click Save Changes at the bottom of the section or page.

Tip: Regularly review your personal information to ensure it's current. A consistent and up-to-date profile makes a great first impression!
Managing Your Resume/CV
Your resume (or CV) is often the first thing an employer sees. Mellonial makes it easy to upload and manage your latest version.
Uploading a New Resume
- In your profile, find the Resume/CV section.
- Click on the Upload Resume or Add File button.
- A file browser window will appear. Navigate to where your resume file is saved on your computer.
- Select your resume file (e.g., a PDF or Word document) and click Open or Upload.
- Once uploaded, you might see a preview or confirmation message. Click Save Changes if prompted.

Important: We recommend uploading your resume as a PDF file to ensure consistent formatting across different devices and systems.
Replacing or Deleting Your Resume
If you've updated your resume or no longer wish to have one on your profile:
- Go to the Resume/CV section of your profile.
- To replace it, click Replace Resume or Upload New Version. Follow the upload steps above.
- To delete it, click the Delete or Remove button next to your current resume. Confirm your decision if prompted.

Setting Your Job Preferences
Help Mellonial find your perfect match by setting your job preferences. These preferences help filter job listings and provide more relevant recommendations.
- Locate the Job Preferences or Desired Roles section on your profile.
- Click Edit to open the preferences settings.
- You can typically set preferences for:
- Job Titles/Keywords: What kind of roles are you looking for? (e.g., "Software Engineer," "Marketing Specialist")
- Industry: Which industries interest you? (e.g., "Tech," "Healthcare," "Finance")
- Location: Where do you want to work? (e.g., "Remote," "New York, NY," "London, UK")
- Job Type: Full-time, part-time, contract, internship?
- Salary Expectations: Your desired salary range (optional, but can help refine searches).
- Select or type in your preferences from the available options.
- Click Save Preferences or Apply Changes to confirm.

Tip: Be specific but not too narrow with your preferences. This helps Mellonial provide a good balance of relevant and diverse opportunities.
Saving Your Profile Changes
After making any updates to your personal information, resume, or job preferences, it's crucial to save your changes.
- Look for a prominent Save Changes or Update Profile button, usually located at the bottom of the section you're editing or at the bottom of the entire profile page.
- Click this button to ensure all your hard work is stored. You'll usually see a confirmation message, like "Profile Updated Successfully!"
Warning: If you navigate away from your profile page without saving, any unsaved changes will be lost. Always click the Save button after making modifications!
